Introduction to Easy Read workshops

The Make it Easy service is excited to be offering Introduction to Easy Read workshops this June 2024. Thank you to the Ministry of Social Development for funding and supporting these workshops.

Courses are being held as follows:

  • Tuesday 4 June – Wellington
  • Tuesday 11 June – Auckland
  • Tuesday 18 June – Christchurch
  • Tuesday 25 June – Wellington

(All venues are centrally located and wheelchair accessible.)

These courses are aimed at those working in government or community organisations, especially in communications roles.

Participants will learn about Easy Read and its principles, how to prepare information for translation, and get a chance to try their hand at some basic translation exercises.

Please note:

  • We have an initial cap of 3 people per organisation per course – but may be able to revisit this closer to the time.
  • Participants will be expected to bring a laptop with Microsoft Word installed – but if you have difficulty with this please let us know.
